POSITION: Inside Sales Associate


Execute the defined sales process and strategy. Initiate contact with existing and potential customers. Identify needs and develop appropriate solutions to meet those needs.

1. Inside Sales Support

  • Provide sales support for commercial clients and outside sales needs.
  • Respond to sales leads as identified in the ConnectWise Manage application.
  • Use ConnectWise to track sales opportunities through the sales process.
  • Consult with Sales Department as necessary to ensure technical accuracy, reliability, and appropriateness of products and services recommended.
  • Document all actions and other information in ConnectWise, ITGlue, and other applications as directed.

2. Quoting

  • Provide quotes to customers based upon current pricing using the ConnectWise Sell application and distributor websites.
  • Provide the Procurement Specialist with appropriate information to ensure products are purchased in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Make efficient use of Pre-sales support.

3. Customer Relations

  • Respond to customer concerns and questions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attend sales meetings and functions as requested by the Business Development Manager.

4. Product Research

  • Research products as necessary to stay current with changing technology.
  • Use vendor websites as needed to provide pricing, technical specifications, and other information necessary throughout the sales process.

5. Telephone and Email Support

  • Respond to customer sales inquiries.
  • Answer phones as requested or needed.
  • Attend meetings using Instant messages or Video chat.

6. Problem Resolution

  • Investigate and resolve sales-related customer complaints and problems.
  • Keep the Business Development Manager informed of customer concerns.
  • Observe and report internal sales issues to Business Development Manager.

7. Research new sales opportunities.

  • Follow up on sales opportunities and document findings and progress.

8. Contribute to efficient and effective business operations.

  • Participate in sales department staff meetings as needed.
  • Provide input to store operations and planning.
  • Support store operations as requested and as needed.
  • Keep assigned areas clean and neat.
  • Attend all staff meetings.


  • Six months’ experience in sales and support functions.
  • Knowledge of current computer technology and configuration options.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.


  • Ability to interact with customers on a professional and friendly level.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using all available resources and methods.
  • Ability to interact with other employees and management personnel on a professional and friendly level.
  • Exhibit traits of personal reliability and consistency on a day-to-day basis.
  • Exhibit a willingness to take personal responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Exhibit a willingness to ask for and provide assistance to other personnel where and when needed.
  • Exhibit high degree of professional and personal integrity regarding customer and store equipment and assets.
  • Exhibit high degree of personal grooming and appearance.


  • Report directly to the Business Development Manager.
  • Coordinate customer sales activities with the Outside Sales Associate.
  • Consult with sales and service staff as necessary when preparing quotes and other materials.


  • Update customer information as needed.
  • Coordinate directly with other personnel as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and timely completion of assigned responsibilities.


  • $20.00 – $24.00/hour DOE and health benefits
